With all that highlighted, the Canucks must really suck this year as all they mustered were 15 shots.

It does seem to me that the Oilers play better in front of Pickard.

There needs to be more of this - not just against McDavid either - and that needs to include the playoffs.

Fines need to be increased by minimum 10 times to get at least a bit of financial pain. $2500 is a joke. Suspensions too without pay. That will cut this type of crap instantly

Boys barely broke a bead of sweat last night....these are good wins....low and slow like a crock pot making a pot roast. We don't have to be flashy every night........if it's strategic - I like it and I think it will work.

Hopefully method to their approach to not burn out and focus on the ultimate prize, but it's been pretty ugly hockey out there.

Let me begin with an admittance of my admiration of Horvat's play; he continues to be one of the best all-round players out there.

As for the Oilers, lazy + fundamentally poor hockey and a lot of mixing things up (which I expect this time of the year) to see what might click.

#2 - one of his worst games in recent memory with 3 brutal giveaways, including a GA.
#97 - such confusing play by him overall. Not shooting more than a few times in the slot. Overthinking. His inability to be clutch continues to perplex. No goals through 4.
#29 - still trying to find it.
#25 - seemed totally checked out tonight other than his one great defensive stick.
#88 - all over the place and getting into it.
#49 - looks disjointed out there.
#74 - kept us in it and would have loved one more save, but honestly, is the reason we had a chance.
#XX - there were A LOT of passengers on tonight's bus.

Hits/turnovers/bad penalties/lack of kill-zone finish kinda tell the story.
