Spoiler alert. The video still hasn’t been loaded on Nebula. I feel like I just wasted $6

That's disappointing to hear... Below is recent communication with Ray where he describes his upload process. Not sure what's happened but he is in Las Vegas filming for an upcoming video. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Yes for the most part. I thought it was very balanced. He has this infatuation with WEM.
I think he feels that highlighting WEM in that way will draw viewers who normally wouldn't watch a video about urbanism or Edmonton. He can then bash them over the head with urbanism/Edmonton content to which they otherwise wouldn't have been exposed. In talking with Ray about his format and growth, I got the feeling that he dedicated significant time to figure out ways for the algorithm to work in his best interest. His success was definitely not random.

I used my one free video on Nebula to watch the City Nerd video. It's pretty good! I think he does a decent job at capturing the tensions between the pull toward urbanism and the long-standing presumption in favor of car-dependent development. He doesn't really talk that much about any particular area besides WEM (and to some extent the river valley), though. I would've found it nice if the coverage of transit and active transportation was woven into something more about the sort of cultural life that those options help sustain, but I suppose he only had a few days in town and couldn't do everything.
