Man that design is disappointing to say the least. That road has so much potential. i was excited to see it was scheduled for redevelopment as the area is criminally under utilized. But why are they still so worried it needs to carry mega traffic volume? Just bite the bullet and redesign properly with reduced vehicles lanes and focus on cycling and pedestrian comfort and safety with the giant footprint left over. That whole strip would be such a draw for the area.
