Well, they did take a bit of an opposite approach relative to Good Goods, wherein they opted for a killer location w/ a smaller space and what looks like a fairly simple TI job.

They're running a bit of a different stock than their Whyte store as well, guessing a bit more tailored to what they think the downtown crowd might be into.

Did the city investment in this one block and the finished product incentive O'Byrnes to locate here?
I believe O'Byrnes will be nice, but isn't it essentially just replacing something somewhat similar that was there for a long time? So, I don't think the city investment has as of yet resulted in any new retail space here.
 
Rose and Crown was in that exact space for years. O'Byrnes is just a new ownership/look of essentially the same thing that was there before. Still happy to see them move in, but it's not really a new thing for downtown.
