Toronto’s "CN Tower is bigger, but I would argue definitively that (Edmonton’s) is absolutely better," says Rose, the city's unofficial ambassador of hidden architectural marvels. As for Toronto's tallest structure, Rose calls it "essentially and functionally pointless, outside of being a glorified radio antenna." Yes, things are getting fierce in the Toronto-Edmonton rivalry. Just think if they were ever to meet in a meaningful post-season hockey game. (Posted acknowledges that this requires a highly active imagination and possibly delusion.)

Drop by Dick Mather Park (next to McKay Avenue School, 9809 105 Street) to volunteer to help tidy up the neighbourhood!
We will have some cleaning supplies on hand including garbage pickers and garbage bags. Please make sure you bring your own gloves and appropriate work clothing, and take whatever PPE precautions you would like to take.
We will be focusing our efforts on the areas around Downtown, along the river valley, parks and other spaces garbage hides.
2021-22 DECL memberships will also be available if you are looking to get one or need to renew. Take advantage of our business discounts, stay in touch and find out what’s going on in your neighbourhood!
Join us for as little or long as you are able, every bit of clean-up helps!

That's correct.
A sign we are going backwards, in someways, with the goals of our Downtown.
A prominent local retailer, staple offering and replaced by a use that is often associated with areas in lower demand.
That said, given the other entertainment options in the area, this compliments some of them.

Checked out Home and Away pre-Oilers and it was PACKED! While I miss Mercer, this is a great addition to help compliment Rogers while providing a cost-effective option. Select beers were $4 and food was all reasonably priced.

Random neighbourhoods with little to no pedestrian traffic complete and yet a very busy Heritage Trail outside of a museum on 99 Ave looking like this a couple of days ago. Priorities!
