Downtown

Perhaps the most optimistic article I have seen about downtown real estate in a long time.

Strong economy to propel residential, commercial real estate markets

I didn't even realize there was a lab there. I wonder it it wasn't more utilized because of lack of awareness.

First Edmonton Place nearby could be a good location for a lab, fairly accessible with more parking and right by the LRT with some medical in the building.

This is a big ongoing problem with our downtown, many people live here so they can walk to things nearby. Then they close and people are forced to drive everywhere.

Alberta Precision Labs has their main office in what was once Manulife 2, across 102 St from Commerce Place. Surely they can setup a lab there, right? Then their patients can walk there instead of having to drive to the labs at the Brewery District or the Hys Centre.

You could always take the bus. Number 7 runs down 104 ave

Yes you can take a darn bus to West Ed or heck even to Calgary, but again this defeats the whole purpose of living downtown and being able to walk to many things nearby.
15 minute community. I think I could do it to 120 street in about 15-20 and I’m 77. Not everything is supposed to be at your doorstep

What about the first floor of the Standard Life building?
Apart from Julia's, the food court has been a ghost town since the pandemic.

The entire thing needs to be blown out on the main floor with a new restaurant given the frontage and have a podium patio overlooking the city.

But yes, I am hearing something more 'active' is coming.
