Was quite lively downtown tonight for a Tuesday in March! Had a good dinner at Craft, watched the oilers suck, then explored around.

At one point around 9pm there were a good 20 people crossing the scramble on jasper and 104. Not bad! Downtown ain't dead!

Red Star wants to put a patio between Energy Square and their building, which would make for an interesting space given it's quite narrow.

it was previously a patio when grandma lee's - if i'm not mistaken - was a main floor tenant in energy square... the space isn't that narrow as it sits behind that "planter/parkade exhuaust) which in turn sits in a pretty big setback from the sidewalk edge to the actual building face of energy square.

Yup, I remember goin to the Grandma Lee's there a few times with my dad and I remember there being a decnt amount of space.

Not a great pic, but odd company brewing was bumping tonight. Probably 50+ people. Thankfully they've built a bigger temporary patio with fire pits and chairs. Just a beautiful night. Lively. Decent amount out biking too.

Had a great walk around Downtown last night. Things were hopping and looking good in many areas, but still a ton of broken windows, an absurd amount of tagging and a lot of unkept frontages or properties.

That said, these kinds of scenes are wonderful to see!
