Crystal Glass... aah another memory. "Twas a cold (minus, minus) winter night when I parked right outside of the place (Mercury Cougar) and before going in to talk business on a project I pushed my driver's side door -- motor running -- closed with the door in the locked position... it was like slow motion... I realized when the door left my hands that the door was locked and my keys were inside the beast. What a sinking feeling (especially since it was minus, minus outside). Embarrassed, I told the reception person what I had done. "no problem," she said, "I'll let Fred (maybe it was Ned) know and he can come up and help you out." Fred (or Ned) came up armed with only a screwdriver and I accompanied him outside (minus, minus) and faster than I could have retrieved the appropriate key from my pocket and inserted it into the door (remember the actual key was in the ignition) to unlock the beast he lifted the door handle and pushed the screwdriver into the void beneath the door handle and... POP the door opened. 'Twas then that I realized that it was pointless to lock the car door for any reason -- on heaven or earth. How easy it must have been to steal cars.
