Climate Change effects on urban life

I've been working on a chart for the last couple years tracking degree heating days/degree cooling days for Edmonton. Looking at the entirety available time-span (1881-2024) we are a whole lot warmer than we used to be. Top set is degree cooling days, bottom set is degree heating days

Underscores needing to change a few Operations things (Downtown, BIAs etc):

- Street cleaning needs to happen a month earlier, and end a month later.
- Planting flowers needs to also happen sooner and not be removed until end of September (they fortunately waited this year so maybe that's a good trend).

We can't wait for summer students either to get all this stuff done.

They were also smart with Warehouse Park, using a mixture of native trees and nonnative trees that could be better suited for our warming climate. It's sad we need to do that, but I'm glad they're being proactive.
