Is that a parade?! I recall not that long ago we used to have a number of parades here in Edmonton.

But somehow over the last several years we seem to have become a city that fun has forgotten. Sigh ...

Gawd! I couldn't imagine being in a worse hell than right there at that moment. It's like a DisneyWorld for faux-rich-wanna-be-yuppy-look-at-me crowd of the worst imaginable human beings.....lol.

Personally, I love the fireworks, but 11 pm at the end of a long weekend doesn't work for everyone. We need more events that bring people together.

It is probably easier to have a sense of community in a smaller place, but that is no excuse for us not to make more effort at it or deride those that are more successful at it.

*of note, fireworks are now banned in Canmore with the exception of NYE '24.

Love the fireworks shots and miss walking down to those.
