Not in Edmonton, per se, but in Rolly View near Leduc and Beaumont, there exists an alpaca farm. We visited it the weekend before last during Alberta Farm Days. It was really fun.

Kinda counts as around Edmonton... they showed up early so I didn't get too much of a shoot in before hand... and dang Sunday was colder than Saturday.
