When did the Edmonton House parkade get the renovation? I can't remember, within the last 10 years or so? I just found it again, and love it. Such a cool part of downtown and fairly unique in N.A. to build on such a tall building in a challenging location I'd imagine. Now for that Chateau Lacombe parkade fix...
The view looking North from the Edmonton House bridgeway, yes its a bridge and not to be taken lightly by the faint of heart or those that dislike heights, arr r !
Probably a risky walk to your apartment with a chunk of the Chateau parkade potentially falling on you, then again I might be wrong.
What a view though.
Holly bJesus, really? I have limited experience with other N.A. cities but really don't think those can compare to Edmonton's natural beauty and humongous river valley.
@Kaizen the church that you probably saw on the other side of the street from the white and gray building is my Croatian church ??! Really stands out in this area lol.
But anyway, as exciting as Chinatown may have been (great pictures btw), the picture that I can't stop staring at is the one showing the tent city and swarm of people in front of the Hope Mission. The sight... it really disappoints me, to say the least.
If you asked me what Edmonton's biggest problem was at the moment, I would hands down say it's homelessness and carelessness toward throwing mentally ill people back on to the streets. I have a lots that I would like to say about this problem, but to put it in short, there should be no excuse why the 3 levels of government have not ensured that these people either (1) have some sort of job and a suitable place to live or (2) are institutionalized and given treatment for their mental illnesses.
