Alberta Politics

Was the imaginary pipeline just a ruse to help her accomplish her real objective?

You can't "look to send more" oil. It's an inelastic good, and the price sensitivity only affects suppliers - not buyers.

What could be the plan here, to sell the oil at a loss and hope the U.S amends their policy?

Also, the Trans Mountain pipeline currently still has extra capacity and will for at least the next several years, actually well past the end of Smith's current term as Premier.

She sure still does know how to gaslight though.

We deal with some Trans Mountain guys here at work.

Last I talked to them they were full bore and apparently adding some more points along the way for their oil production.

(Sorry. I don't what they call the stop along the pipeline...stations I guess? 🤣 )

Must be where they're diverting some of the product into hyperloop containers so they can get it to the coast faster....

Government revenue from taxes, withholdings, social insurance, etc, followed by overall surplus/deficit of each. In millions. AB, BC, ON.

Probably mean extra pumping stations to increase flow.

Brian Jean was the keynote at a conference today. He went out of his way to say that Edmonton is not a world class city, and aggressively said that people who work FIFO in Alberta from other provinces are not welcome. He said that Alberta is a leader in industrial innovation. For the Q&A I asked how education will be supported so that Alberta's children can support this leadership position in the future, and though there were few questions in the queue, mine was censored. Couldn't stop blathering about Trudeau either, while constantly saying "nucular".

He thought a national conference for professionals was a good time for a stump speech.

He is a deeply unserious man.

That's how he feels and he's part of an inner cabinet making decisions about the welfare of Edmonton - scary.

Why is this oaf still blathering on about a former PM who's been out of politics since March? Why is he operating out of some misguided delusion that Trudeau is still the boogeyman? Are some UCP folks still ignorant of the fact that Mark Carney has been the PM since Trudeau resigned?

Brian Jean has managed to turn Alberta into a laughingstock in front of a national conference for professionals. No wonder these professionals don't want to invest in this province.
