124 Street BIA / Westmount General Discussion

Oh, I should also mention: Vish is still open. They didn't close, after all, and are still active on social media. Although, when I walked by a few days ago, they had signage indicating that a "cafe" was coming soon to the space. I wonder if they're trying out a different daytime concept, or something.

In other 124 Street news, a tattoo shop has moved into the former Arturo Denim space, and the Grand Cafe appears to have quietly closed a few months ago.

  • Nearby, Tiramisu Bistro will be opening up Lift Me Up Sandwich Bar next to its restaurant, which will serve up focaccia sandwiches by day, and charcuterie and wine by night.
This is now open; it looks charming, and they had Christmas tunes projected outside on exterior speakers when I walked by yesterday. Quite the vibe. Really impressive transformation of the space.

The Guardian Building on 124th where Lloyd Sadd's old office space was has sold. It went into receivership this past summer and at the time had an 80% vacancy rate... interestingly it's very similar in dimensions and build to Harley Court and Centre West, both of which were converted to residential by the Strategic Group 4-5 years ago.
