The old Sobeys location further down 112st is opening up as a H Mart, which is a Korean grocery store. Although I agree a grocer very close to the HUB LRT would be VERY useful!

Walked by today and there was HVAC work being done on the SW corner of the site. Not sure if that would be related. There is also a bobcat and a backhoe (I think) parked next to it as well.

I'm still bummed out about how far this is from the new LRT stop. Seems like a missed opportunity.

at least the giant parking lot isn't between the lab and the LRT. Wish the lab was pushed more to the west of the site. Still better than I expected!

Hey. There is a potion of the brewery district in the middle of the parking lot east of the car wash (between 118 and 111 st north of 104 ave) that is fenced off for some type of development. Wondering if anyone on this forum knew whats happening? Forgot to take a picture today.

I have also heard the owner of Jasper Gates on 149 st is planning on building a more intensive site where there is currently a safeway, a few smaller businesses, and a massive parking lot.

It's too bad this development doesn't face the street with the parking behind. I am surprised the EDC didn't mention this, as this is what many city documentation supports. PLUS with all the new developments on Gateway/Calgary trail that have small setbacks, you would think any new development...
