    Michener Park - U of A

Strip malls with drive-thrus and no mixed-use? What a waste. "Experience the suburban hellscapes of Windermere and Ellerslie, inside the Henday!"

    Boardwalk-Revillon Revitalization | ?m | 6s | Allied Properties REIT | DIALOG

No trees or anything on that side of 103 St or that stretch of 102 Ave is very meh. With the bicycle lanes there it feels like they could have pushed the sidewalks out further. The pedestrian experience is kinda shit for a boardwalk meant for pedestrians.

    Peak Tower | 99.06m | 23s | Lighthouse HM | Davignon Martin

Downtown has too much retail space. It sucks seeing empty CRU's but there's really nothing missing. Downtown needs way more people to justify even the existing retail space in the era of online ordering and delivery.

    The Parks | 146.91m | 45s | 35s | 13s | Pangman | Hariri Pontarini

Not related to Parks specifically but I do not like the big elevated ring in warehouse park at all.

Bars be struggling. The kids ain't drinking. In 2025 they have options. If I had Minecraft when I was 16 I would probably have never bothered with beer.

Albert's is where it's at! Not sure that would fly well downtown though, especially with 124 location fairly close by.

    Blvd | 23m | 6s | MHA Properties | HSEA Architecture Inc. - 10163 108 Street NW

That's how I felt when Hat and the Hyatt were going in, along with the 96 St upgrades. Except both are empty at the ground floor and seem to be dealing with excessive recurring vandalism. I'm not sure what it will take to get the Quarters to pop off, but I have a hunch that until all the...

Busting open that monolithic front wall has already improved this street 10,000%. Please put in massive windows that fold open.

Brentwood Builds Development | B&A Planning | Brentwood Community Development Group

I would love to see some of this green space be used as community gardens. The green space is so nice to have, but a lot of it goes unused. Coronation park is no exception.

    Bateman Lands Mid-Rise | 34m | 8s | Bateman Properties | Next Architecture

Well, it's a building, and it's full of the usual 0-2 bedroom units. Families need not apply.

Luminary Concordia | Eleven Architects Ltd. | 22.6m | 6s | EVER Real Estate Development Ltd.

Nice enough for student housing. Would be great if some Northlands redevelopment would kick off to give students some amenities and entertainment within walking distance.

Coronation Community Recreation Centre | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton | Dub Architects

That is an appropriate speed for vehicles here. That should be the norm where people are.

    Sedona Apartments | ?m | 9s | ProCura Real Estate | DIALOG

We have so many nice things. The city can't do it all at once.

    Scotia Place Reclad | 113.08m | 28s | Kasian

Improved wayfinding during construction and in the parkade would be really nice.

    Connect Centre | 56.3m | 16s | ONE Properties | DIALOG

Rossdale could be a combined Forks/Granville with a transit stop right in the middle (gondola). We have/had people on council with that kind of vision but citizens and our provincial government can't get out of the way.

    Manchester Square | ?m | 2s | 76 Group Co | Gardner Architecture

On the list of crappy car-centric developments, Manchester Square doesn't even make the list. We have dozens of power centers and warehouse box retail environments that are leagues worse. Every Costco is an abomination, let's go after those.

    Douglas Manor Addition | 23m | 6s | ROIS Investments | David Murray

Childhood memories of playing outside houses with that exterior and getting horrifically chewed up when brushing up against them haunt me still.

    Pendennis Hotel Redevelopment | ?m | 4s | LEDR | Next Architecture

I attended an event in the new event space on levels 3/4. They added a couple washrooms on level 4 (no longer have to travel all the way to the basement), but signage isn't up so nobody knew they were there. While the space looks quite good, the acoustics are awful. The entire thing is concrete...

    North Yard Development | 21m | 6s | Leston Holdings | KP Architecture Ltd.

The finish is definitely lackluster. Busy for the sake of busy in a desperate attempt to create interest, like adding dill pickle flavour dust to a rice cake. Sure it has some flavour, but it still sucks.

    Heavy Metal Place - Spruce Grove | ?m | ?s | GEC Architecture

It's a big boring box from the outside, but I guess that's what people want out in the burbs.
