    Peak Tower | 99.06m | 23s | Lighthouse HM | Davignon Martin

You really think that they are not going to finish this. Like really. I don't mind the colour scheme - sure it's grey but it's timeless. Like black and white.

    Mill Woods Town Centre Redevelopment | ?m | ?s

The only 'strip mall' that was added was the development in the SW corner where the TD Bank, SBUX, etc. are. And in general it's not all that bad. The Safeway and other commercial buildings to the east are not owned by Procura or the previous consortium (Westbank, Procura, Progressive Construction).

Urban Sparq was the applicant, IIRC which had a solid grip on operating bars of that scale. I think it would have been great, but its refusal really came down to the Zoning Bylaw and limits on that type of Bar and Neighbourhood Pubs use (or whatever the use that was being applied for). Looking...

Edmonton City Centre Mall (Renovations) | ?m | 2s | LaSalle Investment Management

And what's happened to malls and retail landscape during that period? A lot - the number of department stores that used to anchor these types of shopping centres has evaporated, and so forth. Furthermore, Kingsway has solidified itself as 1 of the 3 'fortress malls' that exist in Edmonton and...

    West Block | 60.35m | 16s | Beaverbrook | GEC

Yes, because they are spending money on abatement (which isn't cheap) and then proceeding with demolition.

They have and continue to figure out approaches to redeveloping/repositioning both east and west ECC. The west is more complicated as the Delta Hotel is a separate owner and they would have to be considered with any proposals.

No, that is a separate contractor who is working on one of the tenant fit outs.

    Alberta ENT Commercial/Retail | ?m | 2s

Renderings mean nothing as the signage is just a placeholder. But I do believe there is a cafe coming. When, not sure.

Edmonton City Centre Mall (Renovations) | ?m | 2s | LaSalle Investment Management

I've said this before, many seem to blame WEM for 'sucking retail out of the downtown', but I would say that Kingsway is by far the main culprit given its proximity to the the downtown. If Kingsway didn't exist you can bet that our downtown retail would be stronger then it is. This is why I...

    Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

104 Street has decent amount of activity on weekdays and even Saturdays given the number of food and beverage establishments along this corridor. But I would agree it's missing other retail uses such as general retail stores, boutiques. That's been a struggle compared to Whyte or 124 Street.

    Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

I'm hoping that they can attract some decent retail tenants to help activate that portion of 104 Street.

Mill Creek West - Beljan - 3 storey - Redevelopment

Office uses. At one time they were looking at building out some space with a communal kitchen, shared meetings rooms, etc. and leasing it to small office users. This approach seemed to work well in Substation 600 on 124 Street, which I'm involved in. The site across the street is still for sale...

    Oliver Crossing | 21m | 7s

I'm a proponent for incentives *if* they are used properly - e.g. a means to encourage more private sector investment in a specific area that the City wants to enhance/redevelop or achieve a specific city-building goal. The municipality has to identify a need that ultimately provides a benefit...

The Mercury Block II | Hodgson Schilf Evans

You'd have a point if you couldn't generate a decent amount of revenue from parking given the cost to construct, which isn't the case. Parking revenue can play a big role from a NOI perspective.
