    Edmonton Oilers

Thats a loss that stings. Oilers fall 4-3 to the NJ Devils, two red hot teams coming in and the Devils are the ones to stay hot. Stuart Skinner played great again, had to face 44 shots a lot of them high quality, the Devils goaltending was just a tad stronger. Both teams played really well, had...

    Edmonton Oilers

Another high scoring affair as the Oilers take this one 7-4. I thought this was one of our more complete games, we battled hard all 60 minutes and played our best hockey in the 1st. We went 2/6 on the PP (although the 6th PP was awarded in the dying seconds), however what was considered a weak...

ICE District Block IJ | ?m | ?s | ICE District Prop. | Next Architecture

In the winter and at night, only time it would be a problem for hockey is in June and believe me a lot of people would happily get burnt to see the Oilers playing in June (Stanley Cup Final).

    Edmonton Oilers

Everyone has different opinions and rankings, what actually matters is the standings where we are doing quite well. I think we're probably between the 5th and 8th best team in the league at this moment, the Leafs are far behind after the last 4 games they've had.

    Edmonton Oilers

A young fan flew over from Germany to see his idol Leon Draisaitl play, good guy Leon found out about it and had a stick personalized for him. What we often forget with McDavid on the team is that in Europe and Germany especially Leon is the beloved star, he's a big part of the game of hockey...

    Edmonton Oilers

I'm going to disagree with you honestly, I thought that was a good game. Doesn't need to be a score of 8-7 to see some good hockey, Oilers looked tired at times for sure but at the end of the day it was a very even game, both teams had their chances, hit some posts, we just had a bit more puck...

    Edmonton Oilers

The second BOA of the season goes in Edmontons favour! Final score of 3-2 in a very close battle from start to finish. The Flames were well rested meanwhile we were playing our 3rd game in 4 nights on the road but we stuck with it and grinded out a win. I thought the Flames were the better team...

SkyriseEdmonton (Site & Forum Discussions and Issues)

No worries my man, better than accidentally deleting a project thread with actual photos and renders in it 🤣 Thread didn't have anything special in it, if we can't get it back then we'll just make a new one and pick up where we left off :)

Expected for nights the Oilers aren't playing. I hope in the summer it can stay busy though.

    Blatchford Development | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

I'm not sure exactly what the city does and doesn't own but having lived in Silverberry and Laurel for almost my entire life I can confirm things are pretty good down here. Laurel is split into 3 large sections (Laurel, Laurel Crossing, Laurel Green), my only complaint with the actual homes...

Nope thats for a completely separate project I'm now seeing for the first time, no clue if it already has a thread or not but this is it. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jw-developments_missingmiddle-infill-activity-6926283131314438144-bKaT?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop...

    The Quarters Hotel and Residences | 280.1m | 80s | Alldritt Land | KENNEDY

I agree with you on that we already have our downtown and uptown (Oliver). The Quarters is the perfect place to have some nice low rise buildings with cool CRU's and unique restaurants, well maintained and nice streetscapes, besides it's already our Arts district. With that being said I don't...

    The Quarters Hotel and Residences | 280.1m | 80s | Alldritt Land | KENNEDY

I feel like you can't go wrong with either, just get stuff built! My take on it is that a nice TOD in the Quarters with 3 or 4 towers would be better for the Quarters, however an iconic and recognizable tower for Edmonton on the same stretch of Jasper Ave as Hotel Mac and the convention centre...

    Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

Ian you seem to be itching to get back to the city and take some photos, you've been critiquing others and posting twitter images all week long 😉 Quick question from one of the younger people on these forums, has there ever been any plans to reclad Edmonton House? It's a prominent building in a...

This permit is for the Open Sky project and we knew it was coming. Unfortunately I think the permit for the hoarding fence you posted the other day was also for the Open Sky Project, and this one is in fact still dead. The building permit for the hoarding fence is issued for 10211 121 St NW...

It's a great mix of the original dream proposal and the second more blocky realistic one, I love it honestly. Plus the project already appears to be running on dub time 🤣

Thanks for all the photos @Gronk! I hope you had a fun night out :) I wanted to quickly point out that they fixed the Rogers Place screen it no longer has those blacked out pixels all over it which makes it look about 100x better.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see this one back. It's been a great week of news so far regarding towers in Edmonton. GEC as the architect gives me a lot of confidence in this as well.

    Upper Vista Towers | 108m | 33s | EverTrust

EverTrust is new to the game in Canada but their founder did very well in China and supposedly has deep pockets. Not sure how high the chances are this gets built as a two tower project but I think if it does it'll be high quality...

    Misc. Parks and Greenspace Projects

Completely agree about the bike lanes, North America purposefully built itself to be car centric and car reliant but it's time to change that, and Edmonton could be a leader of that initiative. Bike lanes are important to have around an entire city not just the core, and are perfectly functional...
