    10507 to 10539–124 Street NW - Casia Developments - 2 x up to 27 - Proposed

Honest question from someone not in the development world. Is there any indication that Alldritt is going to develop their lot on 124th St, 142nd St, or the 80 storey site? Or were these bought with the intention of selling at a profit in the future to other developers?

    Terwillegar Drive Expansion

Very anecdotal, but when I see the 31 leaving the U of A heading toward Leger it is close to empty (I want to say nearly every time I’ve seen it.) This is at the end of the work day. Not sure if we have numbers on ridership yet. Hopefully things pick up!

I appreciate all HSR discussion. Haha It’s in Edmonton’s Mass Transit Plan to have a rail connection from YEG to Downtown Edmonton using the existing rail right of way that runs parallel to QEII/Gateway Blvd. This requires a new bridge. It makes sense that any new rail infrastructure be built...

I think the plans are pretty set for BRT down Whyte. This project will be very close to both the B1 and B2 lines...

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

Again, not affiliated with this event, but thought this may of interest to members of the forum! Nice to see Edmonton receiving some positive attention. Would love to get into a positive feedback loop where positive action from the city lead to recognition and appreciation, which leads to more...

    Miscellaneous

In Hazeldean. Used to be a single family house on an RF1 lot (though got rezoned to RF3 last year). Now going to be 8 units of housing. (Is this only possible because of the New Zoning Bylaw? Or is the above allowed within the old RF3?) In any case, if projects like this continue we could see...

The red rectangle is the current construction site. Is the purple rectangle going to be part of the Cidex development as well? (Where the two aforementioned towers are going to go?) Thanks!

    LRT Expansion Planning

I’m hoping all these posts about gondolas leads to the construction of some gondolas. 🚡🚠 I live near Old Strathcona and would love a gondola to get downtown.

    Commuter & Regional Rail

Would a rail link to YEG be included in these? Does anyone know what other routes are being looked at? Thanks!

The ‘For Sale’ sign is gone, though the listing is still active so I doubt it means anything (unless anyone has heard otherwise.) Also, the walk up apartment just to the north of this is boarded up (think it has been for a little while.) It would be great to see some movement on these sites...

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

Glad my ride down 83rd Ave was counted! 😂 I didn’t realize they tracked ridership each day. Very cool! Is there a link to this data?

Crane operating today in the cold. It really has quite the presence in the area. Hopefully it inspires some more projects nearby!

In a similar theme to the federal government removing GST from new rental bindings, could the City create an initiative where new rental buildings pay a reduced property tax for a certain number of years after completion? Would that serve as a way to incentivize development while not taking...
