C'mon Airboy, cough up those Jasper photos you promised, chop chop !!

Yes, this should be the opportunity to both build more density and in an attractive style, rather than just bigger more modern North American suburban homes. Can someone send them pictures of Swiss mountain villages?I find it a little crazy in 2026 that we are rebuilding that many single family homes there. I get the insurance side of things, but how we are not taking this opportunity to create a more European level of density and feel is very odd. Amend those Parks regs given the situation and rebuild this in a more sustainable way.
No it can’t be, and shouldn’t be. It’s in a national park, with residency rules in place.Something should be done to attract outside investment or Jasper will be a shell of it's former self for decades.
It could be Edmonton's Canmore.
I think Nordegg would be better suited to being Edmonton’s Canmore, since it’s not in a national park while still being in the mountains. That being said, it’s been considered back-country for a while, so I don’t know if another mountain town getting over-commercialized would go down well with most Albertans.Something should be done to attract outside investment or Jasper will be a shell of it's former self for decades.

Oh well. Banff and Canmore it is.No it can’t be, and shouldn’t be. It’s in a national park, with residency rules in place.
