Alberta Politics

All about The Base for ol' Danny Girl.
It seems to be. I fail to see why having a referendum is so urgent and needs to be done in such a rush.

If we have to have one, the court should provide input to ensure the question is properly thought through, that does not seem unreasonable to me.

It’s less a referendum timing than it is election cycle timing.

Perhaps, but I'm not aware of any provincial election in Alberta happening soon. I believe the next fixed election date is set for October 2027, so there should be plenty of time to properly sort this out.

Really hope the signatures are reached to make this the question.

For anyone wanting to help.

That’s only two years out in teens of seeing the stage(s) inside and outside the party to advance their agenda.

I just saw this and think part of the haste may be because there is another referendum question out there the UCP does not like as much.

If this question goes ahead instead, they will be really p*ssed.

Now Smitty and her “On the Spectrum” Dreeshan are pitting the Mayors against each other now. YYC’s Mayor has to play nice cuz she’s scared shitless that they’ll pull a Trump and do something wonky with her Green Line Bucks….

If Smith/Dreeshen are really concerned about the swift movement of traffic in YEG, why don't they share their solutions to relieve congestion for motorists on Edmonton's 20 most busy roadways - none of which contain bike lanes I can pretty much guarantee.

Edmonton's Mayor sometimes seemed to go to great lengths to get along with the Premier which I'm not sure that was really appreciated, but he is not running again so again, so I suspect he will not bother on this issue.

I'm so glad that I got to hear the opinion of the chief of staff to the Minister of Agriculture on the topic of major urban traffic planning.

Hopefully we get some input on crop rotation from the Urban Planning and Economy Department's office administrator.

"Devin,

I just got your email regarding your survey and bike lanes.

I have taken the survey. Whoever designed it should be embarrassed assuming you want to hear what Albertans think and not have them say what you want them to say.

As for bike lanes, that’s a municipal decision that municipal politicians are responsible for. As a province THEY’RE NONE OF YOUR DAMNED BUSINESS.

Instead of worrying about bike lanes we have, why don’t you do something about the hospitals we don’t?

Regards,

Ken"
