On the walkability part, I wonder if valley line west will also help this area. Brewery district a few stops away on the train could get people walking+transit vs driving. And parking/access to the ice district will improve as another train comes online.
Drug use, loitering, and disorder all still illegal. But yes, that’s why I generally don’t support pushes for free transit systems. But once a week as a way to bring new users and support local businesses could be worthwhile.
A step in the right direction. But certainly not enough for this area to be lively yet. Great to have phase 1 of the district finally getting finished after a decade.
I think you just have to play historical averages and then adjust year to year. It certainly wasn’t early this year and sweeping should have been happening the last few weeks. This is just a late snow that’ll be gone in a days time. Anything already swept is still going to be clean. Waiting...
Would a “free transit Sundays” idea ever work you guys think?
I know parking is a huge issue for many unfamiliar with downtown. We also want more people to experience the trains and buses as a way to build mental maps and know how for future use.
