I went to look at some work in the building and one of the biggest issues is access to the lower level. There's no elevator and the stairs are wood construction or very narrow. Getting any large equipment onto that lower level is impossible at the moment, And cutting a hole in the main floor...

There's a dedicated prisoner loading area in the parkade accessed from the south of the building. They have multiple doors that close behind everyone before prisoners can be unloaded and it's completely enclosed to keep people safe. The large doors are probably for moving in large equipment...

The drawings that went out for tender in January were similar to the existing renderings. I'm excited to see this finally happening.

It's exciting to see 124st continue to develop North. I really like the massing used that will provide for multiple patio areas. I just hope they don't cause any noise issues with the neighbors.

I think the most important improvement to traffic at Gateway and Whyte will be building a continuous 76 Ave. Turning on/off Whyte is a hazard when there are so many pedestrians crossing in both directions. If traffic could turn onto 76th, that would help protect pedestrians. Gateway and Whyte...
