    Capital Line LRT

Top operating speed is 70 km/h, top speed of the LRV's is 80 km/h, track and catenary are built to support 80 km/h.

    Capital Line LRT

Not entirely. ETS has been upgrading all of their NE LRT crossings. Most were done years ago, then 66 St was done after at the same time 125 Ave was built, and then finally through 2025/2026 129 Ave was done because of additional engineering and the need to coordinate with CN. 129 Ave didn't...

    LRT Safety

That would interesting to see the stats on. Council should request Transit Watch stats. Despite my experience last night, I have lately encountered some proactive attempts by Transit/ Security. Not sure if these 2 PA announcements came from LRT control or the Security control. One was at Corona...

    LRT Safety

Did some late evening transit riding which involved the Metro Line to NAIT, and the Capital Line from Churchill to Century Park and after 30 minutes back to Churchill. Zero peace officers to be seen. There was about 8 EPS officers at Corona sweeping the trains. All they do to check for fares is...

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

The 916 might not be a great one to get excited about. Although there's a service increase in the AM peak direction it's from 10 minutes to 7/8 minutes, which is good but, at the same time the AM peak is being ended 30 minutes early, while the AM counter peak direction is being reduced from 10...

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

What would be great if ETS had bus stops near the Valley Line on 101 St. The northbound and southbound stops outside of Edmonton Centre disappeared years ago. There is a southbound stops south of 102A Ave which isn't bad, but the closest northbound stop is on the far side of Jasper Ave. The...

It's an old photo. The orange ticket validators are on the platform and those were removed in January.

I've used Quarters frequently. It a closer connection to the route 5 than Churchill or 102 St. I see less people using Avonmore and Muttart.

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

There's a very good chance at least some of the increase in expenses is tariff and inflation related, as well as increasing expenses for a rapidly aging vehicle fleet. With LRV's approaching 50 years old, and buses approaching 24 years old. The buses in particular don't have a good outlook for...

I believe it has been well over 1 year.

Grade beam needed replacement, discovered when replacing the escalator.

    Arc Smart Fare System

A bit of context too with Calgary, and why I think @YEG Bus Rider mentioned the potentially getting rid of the discounted $3 Arc fare in conjunction with a longer transfer, is that Calgary's cheapest fare is $4. For some reason they don't offer discounted bus tickets like ETS did, or does now...

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

I don't get why they wouldn't include LRT "stops". TTC's Finch West "stations" are pretty much the same as our VLSE "stops". Calgary also has many more than just 483 buses. They have over 1100 buses.
