    I have a feeling that those who program the light cycles have simply applied some default timings for now with the ultimate timings being tweaked as real traffic flow data is gathered and analyzed.

    heated parkade ramps don't melt the snow to water which then runs down the ramp and into the drains. the snow melts and quickly turns to vapour. There's no build up of liquid water.

    not counting Jasper Ave, vacant lots in Oliver are down to what, half dozen or so? Here's hoping there's some movement on the empty lots on Jasper and 111, 114, 115, 116, 121, 123st. What a transformation that would be.
