61 dwellings and an underground parkade.

Excavation has begun.

Figured a new thread was in order as this seems to be going ahead.

Nothing inspiring design wise but we really need to focus on getting 109 Street filled in. This should be the priority of Councillor Janz.
The first problem was many years ago when the road was widened and the street facing buildings were torn down. It remains more a residential than commercial street, but replacing the old small houses some of which have gotten run down with multi residential buildings seems to be happening slowly.

I also didn’t know this was the case! Does anyone have old pictures?

I’m hoping BRT with some good service and nice stations/stops spurs more development on 109th.

No, 109 Street a section south of Whyte Ave. Sometime around the mid 1980's or so I recall.
If it's south of Whyte Ave, perhaps it was narrower since there were never streetcar tracks running down the middle? It's a shame they didn't bring the rest down to four lanes instead, let alone just leave everything as-is.
