It needs to get snapped up by a seasoned Edmonton developer (likely not at the asking price). I had a sense that this was coming.
Either that or offer to be a partner/backer.

I have a feeling this is what's happening. There were rumors they were looking for partners on this for a while now.

I kinda doubt the partnership route -- if I remember the current owners are a REIT and probably not even interested in developing the site. They may, however, sell the site to a developer with a proviso to buy the finished product back (if certain rules are engaged). In a hot market like Edmonton, I doubt there are many developers who would scale that mountain.

ChrisD on C2E has confirmed this piece of land is for sale. The company behind this wants to focus on projects in Ontario at this time.

^I'm really hoping some company purchases it (cough Beljan cough) and does something good with it sooner rather than later, especially since the original Massey Harris Ferguson building suffered a fire about a week back:

@Daveography Thankfully, it seemed to have been contained to the top floor. All the windows were busted out though and when I went by a few days back it was still open to the elements.

I thought Beljan was somehow involved (may have been only Chris at the time) with the 3-tower proposal. If they were to become involved and the project scope didn't change, it would be their largest project by far.
