Six months since our last update, and progress at Regency Developments' 121 West has been moving along at a slow but steady pace. The 8-storey, 244-unit, mid-rise residential project now stands a full 2 storeys above grade at the corner of 121 St NW and 105 Ave SW kitty corner to the former Molson Brewery.

Situated in-between Westmount, Queen Mary Park, and Oliver, 121 West will place its upwards of 350 residents within easy walking distance of several popular neighbourhoods. Close as well to the 124 St NW corridor, 121 West is a great address for those seeking a nice balance of urban living and convenience.

Designed by DER & Associates, the completed mid-rise development will be faced in a mix of traditional and modern materials, including brick, cement, spandrel, and metal. Colour-blocked and varied along its front with multiple volumes, the structure will feature a central entranceway flanked by two more or less identical "wings."

Units will range from 560-1,300 square feet, with prices starting in the low $200,000s. All in all, 121 West represents a good option for those looking to get into the condo market, especially for those seeking a place within earshot of numerous local shops, restaurants, and other services close to the core.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
