Two weeks following our last update, and progress at Stantec Tower has continued along at a steady pace. Work on the crown has continued following the removal of the alphabetical wrappings, thus leaving the tower to appear very close to completion when seen from afar.

Work crews have been kept busy through the cold weather, installing glass paneling, and applying other finishing touches to the exterior. For while it may be some time yet before the crane comes down, it would appear that we likely will not have too wait too much longer before an unencumbered Stantec Tower comes into being.

The 66-storey, 251-metre Stantec Tower - the tallest of its kind in Canada outside of Toronto - will provide space for 1,500 employees and 483 residences. Altogether, this massive mixed-use development will serve to bring a significant amount of daily foot traffic to the ICE District, Stantec Tower part of downtown Edmonton's large scale re-imagining.

Even from a great distance, Stantec Tower is able to make a large impression upon the skyline, its height and distinctive silhouette discernible from every corner of the city.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
