Following the demolition of a row of century homes in Garneau, work at the site of William Off Whyte has been moving along swiftly since the time of our last update. The timber frame construction has allowed the structure to rise quickly, it to not be long now until the 4-storey, 44-unit, mid-rise residential block by Greenview Developments reaches its full height.
Located at the corner of 109 St NW and 82 Ave NW (Whyte Ave), the aptly named project is on target to deliver upwards of 70 residents into the neighbourhood. Within easy walking distance of Garneau Park and two bustling commercial corridors full of pubs, restaurants, and boutiques, William Off Whyte will likely be a prime address for those looking for a mix of downtown amenities and a neighbourhood feel.
Close as well to Old Strathcona and the University of Alberta, in addition to transit, William Off Whyte is well-situated for many different types of buyer. Viewed above and below, work crews have been busy through the winter months, ensuring that the project stays on schedule.
Once complete, William Off Whyte will be clad in white spandrel, its landscaping to include several trees and ample green space.
SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
