A few weeks since our last update, and progress at the site of the Augustana redevelopment has been moving along swiftly. The build site has been ascending steadily upwards, climbing ever closer to grade.

Soon to be the home of a 30-storey residential tower by Pangman Development Corp and DIALOG, the 230-unit Augustana will replace the Augustana Lutheran Church located just west of the core at 9901 107 St NW. Close to Jasper Ave, Corona Station, and the Alberta Legislature, the well-situated development will be an easy sell for future residents.

Known today as "Augustana," the recently revamped tower will sport a beige-yellow exterior somewhat reminiscent of the former church that long occupied the site. The tower will sit atop a three-storey podium with a single floor of ground level retail.

Once complete, Augustana will serve the area well, the influx of upwards of 350 new residents to the neighbourhood to bring a great deal of pedestrian vibrancy to this often overlooked corner of downtown Edmonton.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
