Rising fast since our last update from the summer, 121 West by Regency Developments and DER + Associates commands a large presence at its sprawling build site at 121 St NW and 105 Ave NW. Located kitty corner to the former Molson Brewery, the 8-storey, 244-unit residential development will soon deliver upwards of 350 new residents to the rapidly transforming neighbourhood west of the city centre.

The new development will soon join its post-industrial neighbour - known as The Brewery District - the former working class residential area to be reborn as a high-density urban enclave. Set for completion by late 2019, 121 West will consist of a mix of unit sizes, ranging from 560-1300 square feet, with prices beginning in the low $200,000s.

For now, however, the build site continues to sit just a little above grade, observers to wait at least a few more months until the structure truly begins to take shape. Viewed in the rendering below, 121 West will eventually feature a colourful pastel palette, the structure to be clad in a mix of materials including polished cement, brick, and textured siding.

Once complete, 121 West will represent a welcome addition to the area, the Brewery District and its surroundings set to become a hive of activity during the next few years of development.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
