While little time has passed since our last update, a stunning collection of photos by Forum contributor Daveography has necessitated a quick visual update of the latest progress at Stantec Tower as the 251-metre high-rise approaches its final height.

While speculation has begun as to how long the crane will remain upon its perch, the first pieces of crown steel having made their debut, a quick floor count confirms that indeed it will not be long before the 66-storey Stantec Tower celebrates its official topping off.

A little further down, cladding and glazing work has been moving along steadily, the glass curtain wall now sitting only a dozen levels below the top of the tower.

Viewed from below, the twin peaks of the JW Marriott and Stantec Tower now dominate the downtown skyline, their steely blue silhouettes a defining feature of the ICE District they now call home.

Viewed from 103 St NW, the large podium base of the tower can be well appreciated for its impact upon the immediate streetscape, its orangey-brown facade providing a nice bit of visual balance against the otherwise monolithic quality of the all-glass tower.

SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
