Two months since our last update, and progress at the site of Westrich Pacific's Encore Tower has been moving along nicely, the soon-to-be 43-storey condo tower now reaching above grade. Located downtown at the corner of 103 St NW and 102 Ave NW, the podium base of the Dub Architects-designed development can be clearly made out, having now reached 2/3 of its final three-storey height.
Visible above and below, the three-storey podium base of the tower will house a grand lobby and main entrance, along with all of the residential tower's many amenity spaces, including a rooftop pool and lounge. Within the podium, additional amenity space will be set aside for the fitness centre.
At 138 metres, Encore Tower will soon become one of the tallest condo-only projects in Edmonton, standing only a few metres below Manulife Place. Featuring an array of sizes and layouts, suites will range from 800-2,800 square feet, the upper floor penthouse units to be outfitted with private outdoor terraces.
In a nod to the surrounding Warehouse District, the podium level will be integrated into the streetscape via a heavy reliance upon brickwork, while the tower above will be completely clad in glass.
SkyriseEdmonton will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
