I wish this phase of the line had been extended a couple of extra blocks west to 104 or 105 st so they could have used that parking lot on 106 street and 102 Avenue for the staging area instead of stopping where they did and using the street in front of the YMCA and City Cente that's been closed off for a couple of years and then it will be again when they start building the next stage of tracks.

Many lessons learned and well voiced to the powers that be... only wee issue is that given the procurement method if it isn't written into the contractual requirements, it will happen again.
102 Avenue and 107st sections need to be done in weeks or months, not closed for the duration due to convenience for laydown.

I've thought about it, but the forum isn't busy enough to merit two threads for one line, even if it's two phases. There will be enough overlap long-term that it doesn't matter much I don't think.

That's fair, but as thing ramp up it might get muddled... but I'm not picky.

Well the overlap should only be for awhile as the rest of construction on the south line finishes.

I think it will be great for pedestrians to be able to walk down 102 Avenue and Rice Howard Way with limited car traffic.

How are the catenary poles so tall... holy, they look twice as tall as they need to be

The caternary wires will be suspended overhead, which probably have a high clearance.

I think lights will be mounted on those poles too.

Lights are already mounted on standards near by. The support bracing is anchored quite high up. I believe the twin stanchion is the same height for balance of look.

Multi Use Path support cables are going up.
