Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

So just because it's not as bad as the rest of the projects going on we have to accept something 3 years late with multiple boondoggles along the way? What happened to holding providers accountable? Wow....
I suppose the logic here is similar to the bank robber who says hey I'm not so bad, the guy down the street killed people.

Vegetation on the north end of the Tawatina Bridge is slowly coming along:

I'm pretty the fault doesn't lie with "city geniuses", but rather the federal conservatives that required transit projects to be a P3 in order to receive federal funding.
Yup its pretty convenient that the CPC was able to force cities to use P3 funding, and now that the CPC are out of power conservative slanted papers are able to put the blame on cities and conveniently ignore that at the time, the choice was P3, or no LRT at all.

Not exactly correct, there was a choice, federal money via 3P or go your own way without federal money. In hindsight, with the city involved, we're probably at the same point in the process

Various crews along 66 St last night. Possibly TransEd, certainly Western Pacific Enterprises. They seemed to be stationed at every manhole from just north of 28 Ave to at least just south of 34 Ave, but, I also heard a report that they were at 34 Ave.
In particular, the manholes at 28 Ave and the north end of the Grey Nuns stop they seemed to be pumping water out again.

I wonder how much salt could have ended up over winter getting in with melt water into the ductwork?
