A lot of flowers around the leg were also still in the ground and look amazing I might add.

28 today and at least 20 for the next week. I don’t understand the rush to shut the fountains off so soon.

Last I heard, they were planning to fix some kinks that came up in its first operating season (ie smoothing some rough concrete that could cause scrapes). I dunno how many things need to be addressed though, or if that is the reason the wading pool and fountain weren't operating for longer.
Feel free to contact Alberta Infrastructure and inquire about this. The email will get forwarded to the team responsible for this, and the operational folks tend to give straightforward responses.

Haultain will be quite nice when complete. I had a tour a couple of weeks back. Still looks like mid next year to be complete. I worked the last renovation. This one is done right. But it is a tiny building when compared to the rest in the area.

But tell me there is HVAC screening on the roof?

Yes there is, they took it off for the renos and are planning on replacing it.

Great to see the expanded fall/winter hours! When I worked there, the fall/winter programming solely consisted of three tours between 12-3 on Saturdays; during which-time the visitor centre was also open.
