Was out along Fairway drive area last night, Holy crap is there a lot of construction. a good 1/4 of the lots have fences around them or are new homes. Big ugly beasts. Why do people, when they have money build these monster square soulless boxes.

Because they can and they mistakenly believe a lot of space in itself is impressive. Unfortunately there is not always a correlation between taste and money and we do not have many older examples of grand design to follow.

Cause a certain demographic needs 12 bedroom homes to house 4 generations of their families in there…..

Given the trends, I foresee the City taking a gradual approach to regulating parking in more and more neighbourhoods. I don't think they will bring in parking minimums.
