Currently sitting at the EDC presentation for this. Nothing revolutionary, stucco repair, paint, new signs and lighting. Basically a cleanup. I'd forgotten that this site is actually DC2-zoned for a pair of highrises, though. I'll have to dig that info up later.

Haha nope. I think they also own a plot of land on Bellamy Hill thats had a "coming soon" development sign on it for years now

And their website attaches this horrific massing model to that site:

On the flip side, with no sustainable current use for these properties, the Yorkton Group must be getting killed by property taxes -- the pressure must be on to do something with these sites. Maybe by reviving the concepts they are looking for buyers??? or investors???

Interesting that this could be revived, but this group isn't exactly known for actually building projects.

It's apparently zoned already, passing Council in 2014.

I don’t know the current status but there were discussions between Station Lands and Yorkton in 2014 about connecting to the pedway to Churchill Station - if it ever got built - though a -15 or a +15 pedway across 105 Avenue.

Now that the pedway to Churchill Station is finally proceeding - a decade later! - it will be interesting to see the impact on the North Edge and Chinatown over the next decade.
