The 'Downtown District Energy Initiative - Expansion Opportunities - Development Update' report at next week's Council Executive Committee states that the district energy building and Winspear expansion are planned to both be completed and operational by Fall 2022.

Is this report available online? I can't find the executive committee meeting in the council schedule.

Any concerns or risk of damage to the membrane of the existing structure which helps make the Winspear Centre so acoustically sound? All that excavating and construction work is making me nervous...

The city was super careful when laying the LRT tracks beside the building. But are the folks working on expansion itself being as careful?

There is actually not as much vibration as you think, but construction has standard protocol when dealing with these aspects.

There is probably more vibration from the Jasper Ave construction than what they are finding on site. If there was jackhammering, that would be different.

There was another concrete pour today. the north foundation wall.

I would also suspect that the sound and acoustics proofing are most likely done on independent framing from the main structure walls for the vibration factor. This is acutely put together with vibration factors calculated...
