I like the massing of this one, and love the mural. There's something awkward about it though. One thing for sure, it's not boring.

I'm interested to see how they activate the alley, I see a signage sign and not much more. Edmonton is the plague for alley activation and I hope moving forward we can get better!

Interesting.

I really like the overall design. I do wish the balconies had more glass, even if frosted though. The concrete/stone/whatever it is gives a very brutal look for the portion above the podium. I do like how it juts out, just not the finishing material.

@OverheardatYEG, they have had a contractor engaged all along and so now with permits in hand, I believe they can build out this site in about 1 year, give or take.

I think they did a good job with the Committees recommendation to "create a consistent, continuous wedge
expression throughout the full height of the building. I like the change in the balcony angle on the East side and addition of the windows.

I can't imagine a more innovative expression for a narrow site, situated between two buildings with historical value. Good work Holo-Blok!
