I think Westrich made a ton of money on this unless I'm underestimating just how bad the cost overruns were.

Yes, I wish that parkade would go, now that the hospital is not as active, I'm not sure it is really even needed or any demand could be accommodated by some public under ground parking in a new tower.

It would improve the area a lot and allow for much more density in which is a fairly desirable area and the government or hospital could get some money by selling this land.

OR, imagine these stalls being available for rent by neighbouring buildings and then take the top and make it into a green roof with courts and other amenities that the community could use.

I would rather turn the parking lot on Jasper into a park, but also like Ian’s idea.

Central Edmonton is seriously lacking a quality turf football & soccer field. Tennis courts, basketball courts, an ODR. You could fit all of this into a relatively small area if done right.

I agree it would be a great idea to turn the space between the hospital and Jasper Ave into a park or something else recreational.

Oliver park/pool/rink should be rebuilt as a mini rec centre with indoor/outdoor of many of these
