Mr. Realistic lol, especially since Alldritt has minimal experience in multi-family development. If they were proposing a 20-storey rental apartment, I could see that being more likely.

I'm glad you didn't take that the wrong way but I am just tired of all the negativity in the world and particularly #yeg.
I look at this as a legacy project for Aldritt so let's give them some time and let's git 'er dun !

It is less unlikely that they'll build this than you might believe, albeit possibly with some height reduction.

Working on a different project in the Okanagan, I've had one of my investors ask me about this tower, as it would seem that they were looking to partner up with an experienced developer to get this done.

As was pointed out to me on the weekend. Companies like Qualico and triple 5 play the long game. Qualico's office in Winnipeg was once way out of town. Triple 5 bought land west of the Henday. I believe Aldritt is the same way. It'll get done, just not at the speed we all expect.

I still hope it gets built ! Even if it was dummied down to say….60 storeys, it will still look fantastic in my opinion!

I spoke in confidence to Alldritt's tower project manager just recently and he confirms that the project is a full-on "go" -- you can expect to see a "sales centre" once the snow clears on the site between the Russian Orthodox Church and Jasper Avenue.

Any more updates from the project manager?
