Does Procura own that land?
Wow, with a Shoppers right across the street. Maybe they're moving out of that one.The Spa Lady is going to be redeveloped from the looks of it. Shoppers Drug Mart, office spaces, and a Safeway liquor store will be added.

I'd kill to see it built in the area just in front of the Police HQ. As massive as it is, it would make that parking lot wasteland much, much better. And with the work+live units, it would be ideal for a central location. This looks like the low rise urban filler developments happening in cities throughout the US. We could use a couple more of this kind of development in Edmonton.
That curve could be used for studio suites. I agree the curve softens such a massive building. That beautiful curve that you put in the last frame @KreationYEG by choice of camera lens really softens the architecture and makes the mass more palatable.
You're looking at different sides of the building here. You need a picture from the opposite side to compare. I think the final product is actually accurate to what was promised.Quite a difference what they have built compared to the renders on Procura's website https://procura.ca/our-current-projects/. I much prefer the original "final" render with the patio deck above the ground floor than what has been built.
Here is what they show on the corporate website :
And here is what is being built that KreationYEG posted:
