Almost 1,000 people are living directly above the Ice district plaza. When you add in hotel visitors and staff, at any point in time there is at least 1,200. The Ultima has another 250 or so.

I am the biggest fan of Chipotle on this forum……who knows maybe the local franchisee is already engaged in negotiations to move into Stantec

I think a Chipotle would do better in Brewery District or the Canterra Shopping Centre on 109 st & Jasper (but not unless Mucho Burrito moved out) than in Ice District right now.

I recently went to Toronto, where I spent a good amount of money to go to the top of the CN and it was quite busy. Its a shame our tallest building with its great views does not have something for the public to visit.

In Edmonton, tourism and attractions often still seem to be an after thought.

That was one of the key reasons the observation area was never planned.
