I like variety and it is nice to see the buildings from 3 different eras in the picture. It also helps us feel less like a boom town that was built in one or two eras and more like a real permanent city, which we are.

Garneau just needs one or two more taller towers, around the height or slightly taller than Maclab Garneau and it will legitimately become a secondary skyline, along with West Oliver and the Stadium area

That's wicked. Honestly, I hope they rebuild it as another senior home, maybe with more elevation this time. Need just as much senior housing as we do student housing in the next few decades, and being right across from the U of A hospital is a big plus.

I think based on this it seems unlikely we'll see the use for this site stay as is. Not including this building, there are 3 other senior residences nearby within 3 blocks from here, so the area is not exactly underserved either.
