Another way to verify the calcs. is to subtract my height estimate from the total finished projected height (191- 140.7 = 50.3), leaving a floor-to-floor height of 3.14m for the rest of the build-out (16 floor levels, allowing 2 for the penthouse) which sounds about right, yes? Other sources have the height listed at 192.2m on the low side and 192.95 on the high side which increases the floor-to-floor to 3.22m to 3.27m, giving me even more confidence in my calculations.

As a point of interest for all of us "height geeks" the core slip-forms have shot up another floor. As they work on placing rebar and concrete, we can now say that Marriott/Legends is Edmonton's tallest structure (by a few inches/centimetres). Although a temporary crown, it is a significant one.

From NAIT the Marriott looks a shy bit shorter than the Epcor Tower, but that could just be from the location and the point of view.

@Jarodsc17 my calculations are certainly within a margin of error that may suggest that the Epcor tower is a few inches/cms higher, but I am still inclined to believe otherwise now that the Marriott/Legends core has progressed upward. It is harder to triangulate the perspective lines in your photo because I can't tell which structure is closer to your vantage point and by how much. On the other hand the photo does give a good representation between the new hotel/condo and the Edmonton tower and that height ratio still suggests that the new building is in overall first place in the height contest.
