Tried out Alchemy bar. Really fun, love the "secret" entrance like a Speakeasy. Cocktails were really good too. Views out the windows feels very metropolitan.

I want to like Alchemy, but I've been twice and the service was slow both times (but especially bad on the second occasion -- basically waited an hour for a drink and, before it even arrived, was told that I had to leave soon to accommodate another party). I'm really hoping they work out the kinks because I want to like them and the room is beautiful.

Just noticed this evening that the LED lighting at top of JW is on (and staying on until now - so for several hours already). I'm not sure if there is a blue light theme disco jam going on at the top on a Saturday night, or this is the lighting they were talking about. I'm no expert in LED lighting, but it looks exactly like the back-lit panels at the top of Epcor tower. Also, on JW, there is a red ball of light that is going back and forth along the blue light strip, like on the Knight Rider car. Looks good from here!

edit: my camera added some brightness to the photo, and the blue isn't nearly that bright when seeing with my own eyes. It's basically the same brightness as the ones on Epcor's.
