I concur. While this looks cleaner, I find the color too heavy...

A split in the viewpoint by the Design Committee tends to prove the adventuresome nature of the concept. The only point that I do agree with is that the solution could be well served by additional height and a smaller floorplate, helping to exaggerate the design intent.
