Considering this is to be a "trophy tower" I really hope Katz and crew get it right and build something iconic. Something unique like unto the Telus Sky in Calgary or something similar to the proposed "Chicago Spire" but perhaps a little less scale.

Santiago Calatrava would be an excellent choice for architect (Chicago Spire); he also did a pedestrian/bicycle bridge in Calgary.

@Hqcan It was rejected by both city and SDAB if I recall correctly.

@Daveography yes that's what I recall as well. Well then perhaps this is some positive momentum on staging activities for Phase 2. They have been referencing the second phase quite a bit in comms sessions over the last few months but I have no inside line to be aware of anything being planned...

@Hqcan Much as I wish things would progress faster at ICE District, it seems more likely that the costs of keeping it up have started to exceed the costs of tearing it down.
